MORE FANS SLAM RORY GALLAGHER FESTIVAL

first_imgEVEN more rock fans have vowed not to return to the Rory Gallagher Festival in Ballyshannon.Donegaldaily has been bombarded with fans who say the gig is over – for them at least. Many are disgusted that the Bank Holiday weekend has turned into a drunken escapade…rather than a tribute weekend. Typical of the reaction is George Malvin who agreed with others that the series of shows had turned into a freak show.“It has turned into a horrible event that shows Ballyshannon in the worst light possible,” he said.“As I returned towards the campsite on Saturday evening, a youngster walking towards me pulled out his ***** and started urinating.“He didnt stop, he just kept walking towards me without any shame. I’ve never seen such bad behaviour anywhere else in the world, and I have been to a lot of festivals. “Maybe its time to honour Rory Gallagher by taking his name off this travesty of a festival.”Repeated attempts to get a response from the organisers has failed. Were you there?
